Dancing with the Stars wrapped up its Mariah Carey Night during week 4 of season 35 with what many viewers and reporters considered another unexpected elimination. The episode also set the season's highest score to date, according to People, The Hollywood Reporter, and Page Six.
The broadcast drew attention beyond the elimination itself. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba was loudly booed during the show, and at least one other couple was visibly emotional before the night ended. The identity of the eliminated couple was reported by ABC News on October 7, 2026.
