Kazuma Okamoto now holds a Toronto Blue Jays milestone. He struck out for the 171st time this season on Friday. That tops every single-season strikeout total in franchise history. The game took place in Toronto against the Baltimore Orioles on September 11. It was by no means the mark he wanted. Okamoto smashed his 31st home run in the same game. Strikeouts are not a positive for a batter. Sportsnet and Yahoo Sports confirmed the record. The Blue Jays welcomed the Orioles that evening.
